Isle of Raasay Hungarian Oak Limited Release is a lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky, fully matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Spicy Hungarian oak meets the rich dried-fruit character of Oloroso, with notes of ginger, coffee and dark chocolate.
Part of the distillery’s Oak Species Maturation Series, this release explores Quercus petraea oak from Hungary’s Zemplén Mountains. Peated and unpeated Raasay spirit are matured separately in these casks, then married together for a complex, gently smoky whisky.
Distilled, matured and bottled on the Isle of Raasay, this limited release is presented at natural colour and is non-chill filtered. A distinctive Scottish whisky gift or a bottle for enthusiasts to explore at home.
