The Guffy Curse Island Rum takes its name from a Holy Island fisherman’s tale about ill fortune at sea. Distilled by 793 Spirits on Holy Island, Northumberland, this rum is made with blackstrap molasses, vanilla and coconut, then aged for 12 months in heavily charred American oak casks.
The cask ageing gives it a smoky character. The distillery describes the rum as made without added sugar, sweeteners or other additives, a bottle with a story rooted in island folklore.
