A light and subtle Northumbrian whisky, Tácnbora is a blend of Scottish and Irish malt and grain whiskies aged in ex-bourbon, virgin American oak and oloroso casks. First released in late 2022, it is celebrated for its clean, crisp and gently sweet profile — approachable for newcomers, rewarding for connoisseurs.
Nose: Honey, vanilla, candied citrus peel, soft spice, with hints of cherry
Palate: Smooth and mellow, with vanilla, cream soda, sultanas and nutmeg
Finish: Lingering sweetness with honey, vanilla and bright citrus
‘Tácnbora’ means Standard Bearer in Old English — a fitting name for the spirit that comes before all the others.
