Sheppy’s 200 Special Edition is a full-flavoured medium cider with traditional tannin undertones. Made using home-grown traditional cider apple varieties, this bicentennial blend was created in 2016 to celebrate 200 years and six generations of the Sheppy family’s craft cider-making.
The blend celebrates the family’s stewardship of their farm’s old orchards over the last century and the continuation of their cider-making tradition.
The story behind Sheppy’s 200
In his tasting notes, David explains that some customers may remember this cider as Old Conky. It was renamed Sheppy’s 200 as part of a rebrand to mark the family’s bicentenary, and he describes it as a cider that stands out from the range.
Sheppy’s describes its 200 cider as raising awareness of Buglife, the charity working to conserve invertebrates and their habitats.
