Introducing Blod, one of a new range of meads inspired by the Viking heritage of Lindisfarne. Produced at St Aidan’s Winery on Holy Island, this mead is a ‘melomel’, fruited honey mead, created by combining the famous Lindisfarne Original Mead with the popular Lindisfarne Cherry Wine.
The resultant mixture is a fruity taste explosion for the mouth, with the powerful cherry flavour providing an almost non-alcoholic taste despite its 14% ABV. A smooth medium-sweet drink enjoyed at any time of the day or night. A good introduction to mead, or a new flavour for those already converted!
